Is Manny Pacquiao Ready for Floyd Mayweather?
As Floyd Mayweather Jr. said in the HBO special "24/7", whoever you put in front of him to box, he's going to beat them.
The May 1st fight in Las Vegas proved that Mayweather beat the best fighter available in "Sugar" Shane Mosley.
Mosley crashed the postfight celebration after Mayweather won a fight last year, shaking off about 18 months of inactivity in the ring.
When Mosley wanted to fight Mayweather, he got his wish.
Most boxing fans thought that Mayweather bit off more than he could chew; but to him, it was time to bring the noise.
If it weren't for Manny Pacquiao backing out for refusing to take an Olympic-style drug test, it been the fight of the year.
Now it's up to Pacquiao to take a crack at Mayweather. Pacquaio ran for public office and won a seat in the Filipino Congress. Maybe he will fight once more and then hang up his gloves for good.
There's no time to duck now, Manny. If you really want to win, you have to dump Freddie Roach, your trainer. In fact, you need the trainer who trained Juan Manuel Marquez.
Oh wait, Mayweather whooped on him, too.
If no one wants to step up and fight Mayweather, he should retire undefeated and become a trainer, or how about a dancer? He's got too much money anyway.
"Money" Mayweather is just like P. Diddy. They always seek the spotlight.
C'mon, fast hands of stone. Man up and fight the greatest fighter of all time, not this time or that time, but all time.
