The better the Cushing, the better the Pushing,

I have been fairly low-key this past week,mainly because I had to deal with my bag being stolen and everything that went with that.Yes very annoying. The NFL was not quiet even though we are in the “quiet before the storm” moment. Some players seem to be taking it on to kick up a storm themselves and not in a good way.

Commissioner High Deputy Pope Goodell has been intent on cleaning up the NFL act. Unfortunately everytime it seems that he has a lid on it something else rears its ugly deformed sex and drug football head.

Brian “Juicy” Cushing….Brian brian brian. When will footballers learn? I am becoming more and more convinced that rookies need minders…kind of like Dumbledore type figures that can keep them on the straight and narrow, because they obviously can’t themselves.

Brian”let me inject myself” Cushing.

I was beginning to wonder what the big deal is over steroids. I mean a lot of other drugs are legal…alcohol, vicodin; Saints coach Sean Payton loves that we know; asprin, ketamine…. So what’s the big deal with some human growth hormones?…I mean why not let players take them?

Then I realised it would end up with the NFL teams looking like this and I for one don’t want to watch a bunch of muscleheads run around with a ball and do victory poses in the end zone.

If you are banning steroids should you take away Juicey’s Defensive Rookie of the Year award because he earned it on drugs?  The revote that happened said No..let him keep the award. So apparently its OK to use Steroids in the NFl…but not Marijuana. Interesting.

I still maintain that having a bunch of  20-somethings and chucking a whole lot of spondoolies at them inevitably enhances tendencies that are already there. This is not good. Think Jim Carey in “The Mask”. The good boys buy houses, yachets and presents for their wives, the bad boys have a lot of cash and large Egos that want to FEEL GOOD.

Hmmm Mr Goodell has a lot of work cut out for him.
