Manny Pacquiao and Politics…

“When life throws you Lemons… make lemonades” but when life throws you lemons and salt… then buy a tequila and party…:)
Manny Pacquiao’s Cinderella story keeps on adding up when growing up literally with nothing and end up as one of the richest person in the world and now a congressman on his hometown Sarangani province in the Philippines. Politics could only stain his good name in boxing but Manny still believe on change that amidst all the vote buying and mudslinging accusations there is still a single flicker of light among a number of dark clouds. Ronald Reagan said “I used to say that politics was the second-oldest profession. I have come to know that it bears a gross similarity to the first.”… Manny with all his good intentions could have been more believable if he was running in a first world country but this is Philippine politics the rich will have more and the poor becomes poorer. The corruption starts from rock bottom all the way up to the top. It’s only here in the Philippines where a former president who was ousted because of graft and corruption run again for the same position and almost made it, rank number two only against the son of a former president. Manny has a good soul and being influence with politics might cover all the goodness left in him.
When you have money and fame what comes next is power the perfect ingredients for making a monster. Unlike traditional political people, Manny is different from them. He knows how it feels to eat only once a day, he knows how it feels to be poor and he knows how every Filipino feels from all stages. Manny might be the change we have long for in a long time…he was given lemons hope he will make lemonades out of it… Let’s just hope he turns out the way he envisioned himself to be…
