Patrick Cote (14-5) vs. Alan Belcher (14-5): UFC 113 Pay-per-View Play-by-Play

First Round

Mario Yamasaki gets the assignment for this middleweight bout. 

Belcher comes out with kicks to the body and head of Cote. 

Cote just misses with a hard right hook, but hits with an inside leg kick.  

Cote is hit with an inside leg kick to the groin and continues to block most of Belcher’s kicks and moves forward. 

Cote takes a left and connects with a flurry of strikes. Belcher hits with a leg kick to the body of Cote and then backs off. 

Cote gets tangled up with Belcher and immediately takes him to the ground. 

Cote is in Belcher’s guard and transitions to take his arm. 

Cote is twisting Belcher’s arm and almost submits him with a kimura. Somehow, Belcher gets out and takes top position. 

Belcher is in side control and goes for a submission himself. 

Cote defends and stays busy from the bottom. After a scramble, Cote gets loose for a moment. 

Belcher stays on top and is in control as the bell sounds to end the round.

Second Round

The action is underway in round two. 

Belcher is warned because he forgot his mouthpiece. When the action continues, Cote lands an uppercut and a right hook. 

Belcher hangs tough and answers with a left hook. 

Belcher misses with a head kick and is hit with a left hand. Cote pushes forward and hits with a combination to the head. 

Belcher ties up with Cote and moves over to the octagon fence. 

Jockeying for position, Belcher lands a few knees to the thigh of Cote, who lands a nice elbow to the head of Belcher. 

Belcher hits with a knee to the body of Cote, and then takes the fight to the canvas. 

Now on the ground, Belcher works on the body of Cote. They work back to their feet, and Cote goes for another takedown. 

Belcher slams Cote to the mat and gets a arm under the chin of Cote. After some scrambling, the choke gets tighter and Cote is forced to tap out. 

After the fight is stopped, Cote puts up a light argument about getting slammed on his head. 

The review shows that he lands face first on the mat.
