Lakers Vs. Jazz, UFC 113, Sprint Cup at Darlington Top Betting Day

Joe DuffyMay 8, 2010

It’s a busy sports betting Saturday. The Sprint Cup Series races at Darlington, NHL playoffs, NBA playoff odds and UFC 113 odds are among the list. Two top services have free picks, the first ScoresOddsPicks.com on the Lakers vs. Jazz.

Los Angeles Lakers at Utah Jazz (-4.5) – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET

Tuesday’s 111-103 victory over Utah gave the Lakers a 2-0 series lead, but sports betting fans still aren’t exactly happy with Los Angeles. The team may have won seven of its last 10 games, including four straight, but it hasn’t delivered at the sportsbook—LA is just 3-6-1 against the spread in its last 10 outings. The troubles could very well continue in Utah, as the Lakers are also 3-6-1 ATS in their past 10 road games, and they’ve failed to cover even once in their past four games away from home.

After losing Game 2 to Los Angeles, the Jazz have just one win in their past four outings. All is not lost, though—Utah is still a pretty solid 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games. There’s even better news for NBA betting fans; the Jazz have been dominant at home, going 9-1 straight up and 7-3 on NBA odds in their past 10 games in Utah.

The Lakers certainly have the momentum, but that will change when they touch down in Utah. The Jazz have proven a tough out on their home court.

Pick: Utah

In additional sports betting winning picks Matt Rivers goes with the Anaheim Angels at Safeco. They are getting 118 at Seattle according to Just Bet Sportsbook. Here is why Rivers is going with them.

Mike Scioscia’s boys have been one of the more disappointing teams in the league for sure and are not looking very good at all but I’m fine with them today.

Doug Fister has been remarkable pretty much coming out of nowhere and has pitched like an All-Star but I’m not fully buying into it and believe that we are getting the better overall club and the better pitcher at a steal of a price.

Joe Saunders is a little feast or famine and the lefty therefore can’t always be trusted but more times than not he is solid and should be just that against the weak hitting Mariners. Ichiro is great as always but Seattle’s offense is fairly atrocious and it’s hard for them to muster much of anything. This alone should make Saunders look great but the southpaw has decent enough stuff and the potential to look good against solid lineups.

The Halos are going to start winning as guys like Matsui, Abreu, Kendrick and Morales are very good and I would not be all that surprised to see them get to Mr. Fister and knock him back down to Earth a bit today in the great northwest.

I can’t call this the lock of my life at all as the Angels are just not playing a very high level but we are probably getting a team that should be the favorite at a quality underdog price and I can never complain about that.

The pick: Anaheim.

For more information: Friday probably marked the worst call of my entire life with the Celtics. Absolutely no excuses at all as that was just beyond dreadful and unfortunately something that has to happen every now and then. Even with that debacle I am up over 1.2 million* of profit in the last 2 ½ weeks and will add to that today for sure. Three huge 300,000* winners today with my 900,000* Split-Sport 3Pack: 300,000* Orlando-Atlanta, 300,000* San Francisco-New York and 300,000* Tampa Bay-Oakland. Click now to purchase
