Jamie McMurray put his #1 McDonalds Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing on pole for the Southern 500 and set a new track record Friday in qualifying for Saturday night's Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Jamie McMurray beat the old track record set by Matt Kenseth a year ago running a lap at 27.26 @ 180.370 mph, McMurray scores his second pole of 2010 winning the other pole at California. McMurray is also the Daytona 500 champion and is having a career year in the #1 car at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing.
