Lebron Should Stay Hungry

It wasnโ€™t a landslide vote but majority had it for Cleveland Cavaliersโ€™ Lebron James as he captured his second Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and becoming the second youngest player to ever win it in two consecutive years. This was a perfect script for a perfect ending for the NBAโ€™s kingโ€ฆ
Lebronโ€™s grabbing his second MVP title and getting a championship ring in return is just like living in a perfect world wherein everything ends up in happily ever after. But reality will always sink in. The uninvited guest, the Boston Celtics, went to bash the Cavaliersโ€™ party and tried to end the latterโ€™s hope of winning their first championship with a strong message: โ€œWe will not bow down without a good fightโ€โ€ฆ
The Cavaliers finished the season with a 61-21 record and was NBAโ€™s best since they have a deeper bench and most of all, they have the MVP. But the Celtics are hungrier, with much experience, and showed resiliency all throughout the season.
When Lebron stopped producing on their second game against the Celtics, his supporting cast were not producing either. Their offense was atrocious and after digging their own hole for most part of the game, the Cavaliers tried to comeback but stumbled on their way up. Was it Lebronโ€™s elbow injury or was it King James and his knights becoming too complacent? The series has been tied 1-1 and the Celtics headed home hoping to close things out on their own turf.
The Cavs will have to deal with the aging Celtics with a sense of urgency or they might be digging their own hole againโ€ฆ I remembered one time when I ate dinner at a very expensive restaurant. I havenโ€™t eaten lunch that day so when I stepped on the restaurant, already with growling stomach, I munched up all the appetizers. When the main course was served, I was already full. I was so engrossed about satisfying my hunger that I forgot about the lamb chops being servedโ€ฆ The drive in winning a championship should always be the main course on every playerโ€™s meal. An MVP or any award are just appetizers or the side dishesโ€ฆ It is still a long series against the Celtics and we all hope Lebron and the Cavs will bounce back. Lebron should stay hungry, because in life we are only given few moments and it might not be on the same position againโ€ฆ As for me I dreamt of that moment where I can eat on that expensive restaurant againโ€ฆ Maybe someday when I have a lot of extra cashโ€ฆ at least by then, I will know where my stomach should be focused onโ€ฆ the Main course, of course.
