UFC 113: The Machida Challenge

Well fight fans, the gauntlet has been thrown down and I have humbly accepted the challenge. Earlier today B/R MMA FC, Joe Schafer, laid out what I have dubbed “The Machida Challenge”.

By now MMA fans everywhere are well aware of Lyoto Machida’s favorite morning beverage—his own urine . While drinking your own urine is not totally unheard of, it’s not something you really picture a world-class athlete doing on a daily basis.

Simply put, it’s freaking gross.

The Bet

It’s simple really: Joe and I have both selected a fighter from the Machida-Rua matchup, and the loser will not only have to drink a cup of his own urine, but record it and post it on Facebook for the world to see.

My esteemed colleague, Mr. Schafer, will be putting his eggs into the Shogun Rua basket and I have thrown my support behind the champ, Lyoto Machida.

If UFC 113 wasn’t exciting enough, now you’ll get the chance to see one of your favorite B/R MMA writers drink some pee.

Even though I see drinking your own urine as a completely disgusting act, I have never been one to shy away from a bet and I’m not about to start now.

My pee drinking fate now lies in the able hands of UFC light-heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida.

Good luck Dragon, I’m going to need it.
