TSN's Dreger shoots down Jokinen-to-Minsk rumor
We were oh-so-close to finally having something to laugh about regarding “Joker” (his horrid play aside).
Earlier today, Russian website Sportsdaily.ru reported that Rangers free agent center Olli Jokinen is close to signing with Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. Jokinen. In the Belarussian capital, he’d replace fellow ex-NHLer, fellow Finn and departing captain Ville Peltonen, who recently signed with HIFK of the Finnish League.
Yet Darren Dreger, one of the secret agents over at TSN , says otherwise.

"O.Jokinen’s agent, Todd Diamond refutes Jokinen is close to signing with Minsk. Says Jokinen will play in NHL next year.
"
That’s a shame. Hard to imagine many Ranger fans aren’t hoping this rumor comes true. Miami Herald reporter George Richards, who covers the Panthers, seems to agree with Dreger . He also reminds readers of the possibility that the big Joke ends up back in Florida.
Where ever “LOL”li Jokinen decides to sign, one thing seems certain (thankfully): it won’t be on Broadway.
