I was reading an article today written by MC3 Sports Media, discussing Terrell Owens being stuck in Football Jail (Buffalo). The article claimed that the Buffalo Bills are possibly the only team that is remotely interested in signing the 37 year old superstar.

If that is true, the fans in Buffalo would sign on again for the T.O. show to return for season number two!

The two main reasons why Buffalo should bring Back Terrell Owens are:

  1. The Bills are in a position in which they need quality players to fill holes in their roster. Buffalo only has one legitimate starting NFL receiver, Lee Evans. The Bills need an additional threat at WR.
  2. The Bills also need a "gate attraction" to keep fans coming to the Ralph during this rebuilding process. Many season ticket holders are disappointed by the lack of "star-power" on this team. This hurts season ticket renewals as well as the bottom line.

The Bills still do have QB & offensive line issues, but I believe they will fill the holes for these positions before the new season. Based on the drafting and aggressive rookie-free agent signings of first year GM Buddy Nix, I believe the Bills are finally headed in the right direction.

As far as Terrell Owens, I don’t blame him for thinking twice about returning after experiencing last year’s dysfunction. Last year was a "joke", and made the Bills' organization seem amateur. I hope that Terrell is willing to put that in the past, and help this team move forward into the future.

Bringing back Terrell Owens would be a great move for both parties involved.

Buddy Nix, pick up that phone and call Drew to hammer out a deal for your No. 1 receiver Terrell Owens!
