Should Arsene Wenger Be Targeting Aruna Dindane?
Portsmouth have had a truly dismal season.
This campaign, the footballing world witnessed the once-strong club perish under financial hoodoo. Despite Avram Grant's efforts, Pompey will be participating in the English Championship division with, at this rate, very little chance of succeeding.
But with any negative experience, there are always some positives you can take from them. A shining light in Portsmouth's horrid season was the efforts of on-loan striker Aruna Dindane.

Financial troubles ensured Portsmouth struggled to fulfill signatures of quality players, but were able to secure the services of RC Lens forward Dindane for the 2009-10 season.
Dindane showed he is capable of flourishing in the Premier League with a number of impressive performances, including a hat-trick hero effort. The Ivorian striker has netted 10 times for Pompey and his form has seduced the interest of many Premier League sides eager to acquire the African gem.
Arsenal who are similar to Pompey, did not have their campaign go to initial plan, showed their lack of depth—especially in the forward line—when injury severely hit several key players.
With the North Londoners failing to attract any silverware for five successive seasons now, manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to sign quality talent to enable his squad to perform at their peak.
With Wenger in desperate need of a cheap, quality striker, no one fits the match better than Dindane.
The 29-year-old is blessed with speed and balance, a ferocious shot, and versatility—and the signature of Dindane would bring more depth to the Arsenal frontline. With Eduardo Da Silva rumored to be departing the Emirates in the summer, the former Anderlecht striker is a suitable replacement.
An appealing option for Wenger is also the price tag for Dindane. It is rumored that Blackburn were set to offer around £4 million for the Ivory Coast sensation which ensures Arsenal can afford to offer up to around £7 million.
So should Wenger be targeting Dindane?
