Would Kevin Doyle Be a Strong Signing for Wenger and Arsenal?
After once again failing to attract any silverware for a fifth consecutive season now, Arsene Wenger has vowed to introduce new, quality talent to help broaden the strength of his Arsenal squad, the Frenchman is adamant that the influx of new blood amongst his maturing youngster will enable more trophies to come next season.
However, this season, injury seriously showed the lack of depth in the Arsenal squad, especially up front. This disarray has ensured Wenger is eager to seduce a talented striker to the Emirates.
With the summer transfer window shortly arriving, a whirlwind of rumors has picked up, many containing the Gunners. There is speculation that Arsenal have offered £10 million for Wolverhampton frontman Kevin Doyle.

Wolves have impressed fans and critics alike by managing to maintain a strong side throughout the season enabling them to avoid relegation. Doyle's efforts have not gone unnoticed too. The Republic of Ireland striker played a predominant role in Mick McCarthys squad which has ensured interest from many big-name clubs.
Doyle has featured 33 times this season, snaring eight goals. The 26-year-old is blessed with damaging speed and skill, as well as a scintillating strike. The addition of Doyle would see the Arsenal front line grow in depth.
However, if Marouane Chamakh does transfer to North London and the likes of Jay Simpson and Carlos Vela stand up and perform, the transfer could prove a waste of money and time. Arsenal could use the money on an extra center half or the much-needed new keeper.
Doyle has performed solidly this season and Wolves are also terribly eager to assure his presence is still with them next season.
So would Kevin Doyle be a strong signing for Wenger and Arsenal?
