Johnny Sauter Wins Kansas Truck Race
With less that 20 laps to go "See Picture Above" you would'nt have thought neither of these drivers Johnny Sauter or Ron Hornaday would have finished more less Sauter win. Now thats what would happen and he did on Sunday at Kansas. Sauter and Hornaday had a very close call in the final laps of O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 from Kansas Speedway, but both were able to gain control and finish first and second. Sauter scored his second victory in the truck series his first win was at Las Vegas last fall. Sauter took his #13 ThorSport In Country Television Chevy Silverado to victory lane after a rain delay at Kansas.
Several drivers were involved in accidents before the storms moved in to red flag the race. Drivers who had a bad day at Kansas included Narain Karthikeyan involved in a early crash. Jennifer Joe Cobb and Chris Eggleston wrecked on lap 16. Lap 26 on turn 2 it was Terry Jones who spun in the 46 truck. Rick Crawford and Tayler Malsam and Brian Rose. Lap 41 Matt Crafton runner up to the title last year was clipped by Jack Smith. Brett Butler and Jennifer Joe Cobb would also make contact later on.
