Oakland Raiders Acquire QB Jason Campbell

So far the Oakland Raiders have had one of their best drafts of all time.  Rolando McClain, Lamarr Houston, Jared Veldheer, Bruce Campbell, Jacoby Ford, and Walter McFadden all will contribute to the Raiders in their rookie seasons.  Before the draft the Raiders were already making good use with their picks by trading for LB Kamerion Wimbley and DE Quentin Groves.  If the draft was over right now I'd be very satisfied with what the Raiders have done but they weren't done at all.

The Raiders have just pulled off their biggest move of the offseason.  Al Davis has worked his magic and has a acquired a legit NFL QB.  Jason Campbell gives us a proven NFL QB.  Russell and Gradkowski were supposed to compete for the #1 spot but that goes out the window now with Jason Campbell on the roster.  He has all the tools to be a great QB.  He's big, athletic, and has a very strong arm.  What makes this deal that much better is that we got him for a 4th round pick in 2012.

Campbell's numbers have gotten better every season despite playing with numerous different offensive coordinators and Head Coaches.  He had his best career season last year throwing for over 3,600 yards and 21 TDs.  If we had that production from our QBs last season we likely would have been at least 8-8 or better.

Jason Campbell gives us a real NFL QB.  Something we haven't had in quite a while.  This offseason keeps getting better by the moment and I am pumped for the upcoming season.  I can't wait for the season to start.  The Raiders are a completely different team heading into this season than they were last year. 

I am now confident that we will win the AFC West this year.  The Chargers barely beat us last year in both games.  I can see us going 4-2 in the division next year and maybe even sweeping the AFC West.  Man, I can't wait for football to start now.
