UFC Presents Aldo vs. Faber: Ben Henderson & Donald Cerrone's Encore
The last time these two hooked up, MMA fans were treated to 2009โs Fight of the Year . While most remakes never live up to the successes of their predecessors, WEC lightweight champ Ben Henderson and Donald Cerrone promise for an exciting show this Saturday at โWEC 48 : Aldo vs. Faber.โ
โI expect another great fight and hopefully Iโll be able to end it this time, like I do with most of my fights,โ Henderson said. โCall me crazy, but Iโm ready for another 5Round war with Cerrone. Letโs have the exact same 5Round, hard, all-out war.
โI love that, Iโm not going to lie. But at the end, I want to finish it. I donโt want it to go to a judgesโ decision. I donโt want any controversy; I donโt want any ifs, ands or buts. I want to end it.โ

โSmoothโ has defeated the whoโs who of the lightweight division since joining the WEC in January 2009. Henderson owns an impressive 11-1 record and was most recently seen unifying the strap against Jamie Varner at WEC 46 in January.
Cerrone is known just as much for his cowboy ways as he is for his bluntness. The 26-year-old has been telling everyone under the moon that he could take Henderson in a rematch; however, this time heโs not going to allow the judges to determine his fate, either.
โWhatโs different this time is that I know what he has,โ Cerrone said of his nemesis. โHe gave me everything he had last time. I know what I did wrong and what I need to fix. I feel like Ben can be finished and Iโm ready to show the world that he can be put away.โ
Although Henderson was able to squeak out a close unanimous decision victory in their initial meeting at WEC 43 this past October, he knows heโll have to showcase a much better game this time around...because Cerrone definitely will.
The lightweights will serve as the co-main event inside Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif. Saturdayโs monumental show will mark the WECโs first pay-per-view broadcast.
