New Faces, Same Problems

Jerome Harrison had a terrific end to the 2009 season as he help fantasy owners to championships. Because of this performance Harrison has all but locked up the starting tailbackย  job this season.

While Harrison should have a respectable fantasy season, the rest of the offense is not easy to make out. Gone are quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson, and in is Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace.

The Browns' gave Delhomme a hefty contract, and it would seem he will win the starting job with that kind of money. If Delhomme canโ€™t rebound from his horrible '09 season it will be hard to see young receiver Mohamed Massaquoi as a viable fantasy option.

Expect Cleveland to struggle through the air in 2010 as Delhomme is in the declining stage of his career.

Young Talent, Lost Veterans

Cleveland's management has chosen to trade off quality veterans like linebacker Kamerion Wimbley and nose tackle Corey Williams . With these players gone the team will rely on Shaun Rogers to play a full season at nose tackle and lean on their young linebackers.

While these players have talent, the Browns need lots of talent and proven players to be a strong defense. I would have liked this defense as an interesting sleeper (for the waiver wire) if they kept their key veterans.

Donโ€™t expect much from this team in 2010 as they are still trying to find themselves on both sides of the football.
