New NBA Free-Throw Rule Explained

Dana F-Bomb White Works Both Sides of the Street

Dorothy WillisApr 19, 2010

Now don't try to kid a kidder by telling me this is an honest and sincere man!

Dana White appears to have a rabid and outspoken mob of fans among the 18-38 year old males who watch MMA. Some of his fans have been brainwashed to believe that UFC is MMA. Imagine the average IQ of anyone who believes the two are synonymous.

Well I am not now and have never been fooled by Dana's affected sincerity. Call it the imaginings of a demented old woman, but I would rather call it "the sum of my life experiences" that causes me to doubt Dana.

Naturally, when Dana came out as being appalled at the melee following the Strikeforce event on CBS and suggesting that the network should have gone with the UFC instead, I nearly choked on my oatmeal.

For years I have tried to make it abundantly clear to Mr. White, that in order for him to have any credibility with an actual network, other than Spike, he will have to change his language. Who in their right mind would expect CBS to display the F-bombing mouth of Dana White on a prime time show on their station?

Television has changed its standards, but not that much . Featuring the UFC and catering to a fanatic who feels his speech is above reproach and continues to "f" this and "f" that, is just not going to happen.

So hearing Dana criticize Strikeforce and go to the length of claiming he does not counter program to sabotage his competition actually struck me as being ridiculously humorous. It was like watching Johnny Depp play the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland . A great performance, but not to be taken at all seriously.

Remembering how Dana has insisted on having Georges St-Pierre travel to London, supposedly to promote the UFC in general, but specifically to be forced into the octagon to "challenge" Dan Hardy to fight him, caused me to gnash my teeth both then and now. Look who has the nerve to point his finger at a manipulated situation which was solely meant to cause hype to sell a future fight.

Are there actually people out there who can't see that "the emperor Dana" is not wearing any clothes? Is this another fairy tale being brought to life?

Well, Grandma may be losing her vision, but can still see through Dana's machinations.

How can a man who prompts the contestants on the TUF series to find even more atrocious measures to draw attention to the show, cast stones at Scott Coker?

I am simply aghast at Dana's recent behavior. Of course, since he is using another's misfortune to promote himself and his "product" the UFC, I guess it is understandable after all.

Shame on you, Dana! Shame on you!
