I have decided to delete this article because I did not like the fact that something I had written was a catalyst for personal attacks on the comment threads.

To be clear, the personal attacks on me are fine (some of them were pretty funny too!) I don't get offended very easily, but when people were slinging verbal and physical abuse at each other it was enough.

I made the mistake of thinking I could post an opinion on the Roethlisberger situation and Steeler and NFL fans alike could discuss and argue their respective sides and points on the matter in a hotly contested yet respectful manner. I was wrong and I am sorry.

Many people both for and against my opinion did give some great points. I actually really enjoyed reading the thoughts of Steeler Nation and I will absolutely admit that many of the people who are firmly behind Ben made some intelligent and terriffic points that made me think a bit harder on my own hard stance.

Sadly, several immature and overly defensive readers took to insulting and degrading people who they don't even know simply because they don't agree with their views.

I apologize to any of the decent people that were offended by any of the comments that were posted.

This is all I am going to say on the matter because the topic lost all relevance to me when it resulted in "in-fighting" amongst members of Steeler Nation over a football player that none of us even know.

Someone on here wrote a great comment that there are much more important things in the World and I agree with that sentiment so I am moving on and looking forward to the draft and the Steelers 10 picks (now that they traded one of there seventh rounders for Leftwhich).
