The one sponsor which never intended to leave Tiger Woods' side was Nike. The athletic apparel company stood by their biggest meal ticket throughout five months of slander, gossip and headlines.

Prior to the Masters, Nike and Tiger filmed a new commercial to be released just hours before Tiger returned to golf.

The now infamous commercial portrays a stone-faced Tiger staring into the camera with audio of his deceased father Earl Woods providing narration. The reviews were mixed, ranging from thoughts of morbidity to beliefs the commercial was a rousing success.

Those opinions did not matter to Saturday Night Live , which took the opportunity to spoof the commercial. Actor Kenan Thompson played Woods in the commercial while the new narrator offered sarcastic comments about the idea of the advertisement.
