The Mets Ticket Office Doing A Good Job At Least

Flushing Baseball DailyApr 13, 2010

Unless they’re talking about the new McFadden’s, Mets fans are pretty pessimistic these days. In fact according to MetsBlog the fan confidence rating is at just 21 percent. From the Wilpons to Omar Minaya to Jerry Manuel many fans often wonder, how? why?

Well, it seems that in at least one place the Mets are exceeding expectations, in the team’s ticket office.

Media Goon over at The Mets Police passed along a personal story about his experience dealing with the ticket office and it sounds like things went as well as you would hope:

The new seats I got were in section 403, which is a little past first base and into right field. I loved the view and I even got the approval from Shannon that they were nice seats.

That was until the people who were seated next to me show up. They proceed to tell me they have the 15 game plan too. My eyes proceeded to bug out of my head and then shook my head. Shannon proceeded to tell me good luck with my seats for the season.  These people weren’t lowlifes or bad people but lets just say they have issues.   The issues proceeded to go from bad to worse during that game.

So, I sent out an email to my ticket rep as a back up last night and he got back to me almost first thing this morning.   He was able to move me and told me he felt bad for my situation and was all apologies.

I have to again say how great the customer service the Mets have.

It’s nice to know that when going to Citi Field if you can’t see an elite baseball team you can at least enjoy yourself while watching decent one. And isn’t that what watching the Mets is all about?
