Forget Super Bowl XLIV...Just Hand The Jets The Ring

TheNFL SpeculatorApr 12, 2010

Chad Ochocinco is rumored to have Tweeted (or something) to NFL Commissioner Goodell to do something to stop the Jets from acquiring all those Pro-Bowl players they've been getting--and they haven't even signed Jason Taylor, yet!

Back in the 60s there used to be an expression: Break Up The Packers!

In the 70s, the Steelers; in the 80s, the Niners; in the 90s, the Cowboys; and in this past decade, the Patriots.

So, in the 2010s, I predict football fans will be saying, Break Up The Jets!

I mean, the rest of the league--okay, okay, the rest of the AFC East, as well as the AFC North, NFC North, the Texans and Broncos--shouldn't even bother to show up for Jets games. They will lose. Period. In fact (since it is likely either the Pats or Dolphins will beat the Jets once in their home stadium...I said Pats OR Fins, but not both), I EXPECT the Jets to go 18-1. You heard it here, first.

With 18-1, that one loss will not be in the Super Bowl. My money, in order to keep the Jets from going undefeated, thus, will be on the Dolphins in Miami to do it. After all, they are the ones who kept the 1985 Bears from going unbeaten. And further, a Ryan was leading the Bears D at the time.

But that's okay, Jets fans. The Jets will annihilate the "Fish" in New York, 56-0.

Rex Ryan. Mark Sanchez. Jason Taylor. Santonio Holmes. Braylon Edwards. Darelle Revis. Antonio Cromartie. Calvin Pace. Alan Faneca. Nick Mangold. Bart Scott. D'Brickshaw Ferguson. I mean, just make the Jets the AFC Pro Bowl Team already!

The NFL could order a lockout after the 2010 season because they won't have the money to pay the players what the players want to be paid and in this economy the NFL has to do something.

So, I have a suggestion: get all those billion dollar sponsors who would normally take out ad time on TV to pay all that money to the NFL in order to have a coronation ceremony (in lieu of the Super Bowl) in the new Jets stadium to crown the Jets the greatest team of all time.

Take that, Mercury Morris!

Because on paper, the 2010 Jets are the most talented team of all time. Okay. Okay. Since the 1972 Redskins.
