Brian Gay, last year's winner at the Verizon Heritage, played at Harbor Town Golf Links, Hilton Head, South Carolina and will defend his title April 15 to 18.
Super low scores will be the only thing, hopefully, holding our interest after the barrage of fireworks, eagles, story lines, and drama filled our cerebral cortex to overload on the last golf weekend.
I suspect we will see Tiger next at the Players Championship, played at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course at Ponte Vedra Beach.
Last week, I had Tiger, KJ, Dustin Johnson, and Matt Kuchar, but because of Tiger's trouble on Saturday, chose Phil to be active on Sunday. That was a good idea as Mickelson won.
Last week in Yahoo Fantasy Golf I ended up with 200 points for the weekend and made a nice jump to 34, 571 for the season in the 75th percentile.
I had been getting pretty low until this week. The spring rankings have me ahead of two out of the four experts. On the season, I am also ahead of two out of the four.
This week my fantasy choices will be Bill Haas as my A Player, with his back up being Heath Slocomb.
My B players starting will be K.J. Choi, and defending Champion Brian Gay. On the bench in case of injuries, missed cuts, or bad play, will be Charles Howell III and Camilo Villegas.
My C Player will be Ian Poulter, with Tim Clark as a back up.
All these players are very good, and it's difficult to figure out who's going to get hot from week to week, but I keep trying.
Good luck to all your favorites and make some putts.
