Penske power was strong once again, as Helio Castroneves captured the win at the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

Scott Dixon finished in second place, followed by Dario Franchitti in third place.

The favorite, Will Power, finished fourth.

An emotional Castroneves held his baby daughter, as tears flowed down his cheeks following the win.

The win took him to second place in the point standings behind Will Power.

After winning the race Castroneves climbed the fence, waiving to the fans just as he had at Indianapolis.

Passing was very difficult on the track at Barber Motorsports Park. The race was basically accident free, with a few off track excursions.

Marco Andretti led much of the race, but relinquished the lead during a pit stop never to regain it.

Danica Patrick started in 19th position and finished in 19th position. She dropped from 10th to 15th in points.

A large crowd turned out to cheer for the drivers at the beautiful facility on a perfect   day for racing.

Chances are good the Izod Indy Car series will return to Barber Motorsports Park.
