WWE 2011 Hall of Fame

"Because WWE in general wasn't happy with this year's Hall of Fame ceremony, they have been working on next year's event in advance. Names currently being discussed include Bill Goldberg, Ron Simmons, Lex Luger, and The Steiner Brothers. Sting is also being talked about but his status with TNA will always play a factor, obviously."

"While it probably will never happen, two people in the company brought up Ted Turner's name this past week. It's said that Goldberg and Simmons are likely a lock for next year's class."

My Thoughts

I can see why WWE wouldn't be happy with this year's class, as only a few really deserved to be in the Hall of Fame.

Also, as someone wrote in a previous article, it's the WWE Hall Of Fame; why would they induct Goldberg when he spent only a sliver of his time in the WWE? His career was spent mostly in the WCW.

Sting, though an obvious wrestling legend, has never been in the WWE. Even if he wasn't in TNA, why would you induct a guy into your company's Hall of Fame when he has never even wrestled for your company?

The Steiner Brothers would be a good choice. Even though they did go into WCW, they started their careers and became famous in the WWE and are probably one of the most legendary tag teams to have ever wrestled there.

As for Ron Simmons, though I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Hall of Fame, I do think that there are other people more deserving than him, such as The Rock or Owen Hart for example. But I'm not against it, and I just have one more thing to say about Simmons: DAMN!

If Ted Turner was inducted, it would be the most shocking moment in WWE history. The guy was in direct competition with Vinny Mac and actually managed to do what TNA will never do: beat the WWE in ratings.

There is no way that Vince McMahon will ever let that happen and just the fact that his name was even mentioned is shocking enough.

Since Vince bought WCW, does that make it okay for some of these WCW superstars to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame?
