2010 Nfl Draft-Who Do You Want In Cleveland?

caleb dotsonApr 6, 2010

With so much excitement surrounding the upcoming season and Mike Holmgren at the helm.  Who will our fearless leader wrangle in to lead the orange hats to the super bowl.  I am just going to try and give option's that seem possible but if you happen to have a better Idea throw it down below.

With the first round pick the Cleveland Browns select.........

1.  I think our #1 option is Eric Berry a defensive play maker who would upgrade the defense right away and with the addition of Sheldon Brown the 2010 Browns would take a nice new shape.

2.  Staying with Safety I think Earl Thomas is the next best choice and if the Browns could trade back to nine or ten and gain an extra third round pick great.  Also at 4.37 speed he could transition into a corner in the NFL it would be smart to keep him at safety but that just gives you a idea on his abilities.

3.  As of late Jared Odrick a Defensive end out of Penn state has gained some steam.  Most experts think he would be a perfect fit in the 3-4 system and have a great impact.  But as for me #7 overall seem's a little early to grab this d-linemen.  If a trade down were to occur I would feel much more comfortable taking Odrick.

4.  Jimmy Clausen this was a tough name for me to put on this list but with all the banter and interview's back and forth between Cleveland and Clausen it is hard to count out.  Plus with the Mcnabb trade it seem's more likely for him to be available at #7.  But this also mean's someone may want to trade up for him.

5.  Bruce Campbell is a very athletic Offensive Tackle who would fit perfect in a west coast offense.  This may not be a sexy pick but the offensive line would be very good for a long time.  Also the Browns have brought Campbell in for a workout.  This could also create a trade between Cleveland and Oakland if this is the OT Oakland covets.

6.  This will be my sleeper where I try to pick someone a little off the radar.  How about a trade down for a speed receiver like Golden Tate.

Thanks for reading let me know if you have someone better in mind.  I will do the next round in a couple of days but no secret Colt is at the top of it.
