Phillies Ready For a Repeat?!?

Darren KolkApr 5, 2010

The Philadelphia Phillies are no doubt the favorite to win the N.L. Title again, but can they get past the A.L. Champs like in 2008.

I have no doubt in my mind that the Phils can lead the faithful fan to the promise land again and bring home the second World Series Championship to the city of "Brotherly Love" in three short years.

That being said, it should make for a very interesting and exciting season especially with the addition of Roy Halladay...

Some questions have arose, such as will Lidge get back to his form in 2008 and will Madson be able to carry the load for the 15 days Lidge is on the DL, or will he shine a and be called upon to work that role throughout the season.

Last concern I have is Raul Ibanez.  .232 BA post all star break is not impressive.  He needs to pick it up and stay consistent like he did for the first half of last year.

The bullpen looks strong, although only having one lefty might hurt a little, the season is long and they can certainly play some cards with the trade market.

One Hour till game time! Let's go Phils and bring home another trophy.

I will be back with another article later today to talk about the game, highlights and areas that need improvement.  And maybe a little McNabb trade talk.

Good Luck to the Phils and to Mr. Halladay!!!

Good Day To All and Enjoy Opening Day MLB 2010
