The NFC North: Who's Going to Come On Top This Year?

brett bruskyApr 3, 2010

Who's going to come up on top this year in the NFC north?

Well well well, It's one of the most up-in-the-air divisions going into this off season, and now with Brett Favre's future being undecided, nobody knows who's going to have the playoff spot this year!

I've decided who I think's coming up on top, Here's my rankings in order

4th Place: The Detroit Lions - yeah, they're not too bad anymore.. YEAH RIGHT! Okay well, atleast they're better off than the Browns or Rams. I liked watching Matthew Stafford play last year. Mostley because he reminded me of Brett Favre. I think the Lions will get 1 win in the North Division over the Bears @ Detroit, and maybe 2 out of division.

t-3rd Place: A Brett Favre-less Vikings - AP can only get you so far before fumbling the game away, after all he had 4 turnovers in the champ game vs. Brett Favres 1? So if they start relying on him more I think his Fumble-itus will start to pick up.

t-3rd Place: The Chicago Bears - They've been making alot of improvements for the past couple of years and I think this is the year that Jay Cutler shows up. They've been working with Devin Hester extensivley at teaching him the Wide-out Ropes and hopefully he can burn some CB's this year!

2nd Place: A Vikings franchise WITH Brett Favre - Well we all saw what happened last year when the ol' Gun Slinger came to the metro dome. The vike didn't loose ONE home game last year. Not the most impressive overal record in 12-4, and the fact they're relying on a 40 year old gets me worried even though Brett Favre's arguably the best QB of all time, Don't be upset check the stats!

1st Place: The Green Bay Packers - The PACK is BACK! We saw that amazing defense last year, Scoring 461 to their opponents 297. They also have an unsung hero in Aaron Rodgers! A-Rodge has had two 4,000 yard seasons in his first 2 seasons at starting QB, Not to mention he's done that by being on the ground 70% of the time. The Packers easily had the most exciting playoff game (other than the superbowl) in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals, being down 24 at the half and then tying it up at 45-45 and sending it to overtime. They only lost because Aaron Rodgers was face masked on that turnover before he threw the INT. The Packers in my opinion are best fit for the NFC north crown because of they're great offense and shut down defense.

Who do you think has the best chance to take the North crown this Season?
