The Riddler Report: Batista Taking Some Time Off Soon

Today’s Segment:

The Riddler reports on…Batista taking some time off

Recently Batista has been telling people within WWE that he’s looking to take an extended break from WWE following WrestleMania. (What I’ve been telling people here, for a couple of weeks now)

Those within the company expect Batista to take his leave of absence following the Extreme Rules PPV, later this month.

Batista is scheduled to begin filming for the upcoming WWE Studio’s film “Killing Karma” this spring and the general consensus within the locker room is that Batista will not be wrestling while he is filming.

In other news, The Great Khali will be finishing up with WWE, for now, on Friday’s Smackdown. Khali told people at the tapings Tuesday that he would be taking some time off, and returning to India. As of right now, there is no timetable for him to return to the company.

My thoughts:

This is a good news and bad news situation, folks. After a long time Batista finally started to be entertaining again. As a heel, I think he has been doing a great job. He’s been getting a lot of heat and actually made a John Superrobot Cena match at Mania 26 watchable. But sadly there also rumor that this time off could mean his retirement, but time will tell, I’ll keep you informed of any new information. Oh yeah and the good news is that we won’t have to see “The Great Fail”, for a while. ’
