Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
I have never met the man, but I feel kind of sorry for him. And then I think about the fact that he could retire with the earnings he has acquired so far and that helps dissapate my empathy somewhat. It isn’t like this doesn’t happen ALL the time in the NFL business and very often for Quarterbacks. Check out Don Banks’ article for Sports Illustrated about the Top 10 Quarterbacks who changed teams mid-career after making it big elsewhere if you want to read more.
Philadelphia have Kevin Kolb in the background able to step into the Eagles QB’s shoes and he wants to. That is obviously one of the reasons that they are looking for a trading partner for Donovan McNabb. That and the fact it would free up 6.2 million on May 5th and 11.2 million altogether for the Eagles if McNabb were somewhere else. A lot of spondoolies as they say in London. (english2english spondoolies = money).
And the Eagles have confirmed once and for all that they will keep Mike Vick for this coming season which is a smart move that will give Kolb some backup. But anything can happen in the next few months.
One thing is for sure McNabb could make a serious difference for the Raiders and turn them into a winning team for 2010.
