Game Manchester City vs Wigan

I was brought up a Blue and Maine Rd was my first experience in the late 70's. I now live in wigan and having been given a ticket as a present, watch them as my local club. So was a bit close to the fence last night. I know some people see having sort of split loyalties as completely wrong, but I couldn't care less.

2) dead easy (I work close by )
3) I had my tea at home then went straight there.
There was a city fan sat close to us (but he looked far away ) (you know who you are!) He was being asked to sit down by the police/stewards. He was understandably upset as it meant he couldn't see over the people stood in front of him...top steward tip ask people at the front to sit down first! He was also having the banter with some of the Wigan lads round me, and taking it back, with a smile.(I kept quiet ) But I did notice he said bye and wished Wigan well for the rest of the season. Credit to City, except going before the end is out of order, even at 3-0 up.
4) Been there before, several times, in home end more than away, first time up stairs, and it is always a top stadium every time I go.
5) Game spoilt by sending off.
5) Stewards said when we arrived sit where you want, go back on yourself and left, and then the stewards up there were kicking off because some lads were sat in seats that were "police seats". I usually see the point of view of stewards as your usually sober having to deal with people full of drink, but they let 2 lads sit in the police seats that weren't marked in any way and then kicked them out. It was a bit poor if you ask me. One steward saying sit anywhere, and another letting you sit then shifting you. All it would have taken would have been for a steward to say don't sit there in the first place.
There was a steward that wished us well on the way out, so credit to him, (working the stairwell)
6) As I say I work close enough to use asda as my butty supplier at lunch, so know the area reasonably well. I parked to the north of the stadium and find the "segregation" a bit of a pointless excercise. We arrived late enough not to know if it's there pre kick off.
7) Shame Wigan didn't pick up a point, but good to see city keep destiny in their own hands over spurs.
