Gentlemen, start your engines! The awardees* of this unique auction will live life in the fast lane with this unprecedented and exciting race car filled event with the legendary, two time winner of Indianapolis 500, Al Unser Jr, Al III and Miranda Throckmorton at the New Jersey Motorsports Park near Atlantic City. Get in, get ready and fasten your seatbelts for the ride of your life!

The New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) is a place like no other, with over 700 acres of race tracks and luxury accommodations. NJMP offers a unique and vibrant experience for those with the need for speed. The New Jersey Motorsports Park is home to two world class road courses; Thunderbolt and Lightning; an exclusive country club, the Drivers Club; and VIP accommodations all for the fanatic race lover. The VIP suites overlook the front straight with a spectacular view of the start-finish line. A stay at the VIP suite is complemented by access to the Drivers Club, the sports pavilion and activity center with tennis courts.   

Al Unser Jr.’s racing career spans over two decades, breaking records and setting standards along the way. Little Al is now teaching those racing enthusiasts about downforce, filling the mirrors and dirt tracking, to name a few. The awardees* of this auction will meet with Al Unser Jr. who will reveal all of the tricks of the trade. Al Jr. will rally around each awardee getting them acclimated to the track in a Formula 2000 car, the real deal! The open wheeled, high performance Formula 2000 car is designed to take top speeds, drafting and aerodynamic grip like no other. With 14 turns, over two miles of asphalt and a one half mile straightway the track, coupled with a Formula 2000 car and Al Unser Jr. this weekend event is certain to intoxicate any racing aficionado!  

And, to sweeten the event even more, the awardee* will have the flexibility of making their own travel arrangements. Once the awardees are determined, we will send $1,000.00 in MasterCard gift cards to cover the cost of travel. Also, the awardees will receive MasterCard gift cards totaling $1,000.00 for spending money and for any out of pocket expense.  We will contact the awardee after the auction’s end to make the arrangements. All you have to do is book your flights and leave the rest up to us!

The weekend includes:  a 6 hour driving clinic with Al Unser Jr.; one night lodging at New Jersey Motor Park Suites; one night accommodations at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel Casino in Atlantic City; roundtrip airfare for two to Philadelphia; ground transportation in Atlantic City; exclusive autographed memorabilia from Al Unser Jr.; and $1,000.00 in gift cards for spending money.

Detailed Itinerary

Wednesday, July 7

• Arrival at Philadelphia International Airport  with ground transfers by a Motor Media USA representative
• Check in  to VIP suites
• Welcome reception, orientation, and dinner at the Drivers Club. Club with Al Unser Jr.

Thursday, July 8

• Breakfast at the Drivers Club  8 AM
• Brief introduction into car racing to include safety and rules this will be classroom style
• Re- review at the track level as well safety instructions
• Private hands on 6 hour training and instruction clinic with Al Unser Jr.  scheduled from 9-4
• Driving a lap around the track with Al Unser Jr. at the wheel
• A Formula 2000 race car available to you during the clinic
• Exclusive use of the track for the day and only the media and celebrities allowed on
• Lunch  and refreshments available during the day  
• Transportation available via Motor Media Concierge to the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel Casino
• The awardee will enjoy dinner at a Trump Taj Mahal Hotel Casino and the Atlantic City nightlife to enjoy.

Friday, July 9

• A day of fun in Atlantic City
• Transportation departures from Trump Taj Mahal Hotel Casino via Motor Media Concierge to Philadelphia Airport

* Should an awardee be from Australia or New Zealand the hotel stay will be extended to compensate for  travel time to the United States.   Further information will be provided upon completion of the auction.
