Big Shoes to Fill on the Defensive Line

With a new starting quarterback at the helm in 2010, the BYU Cougars would like to be able to rely on their defense, especially early on with games against Washington, Air Force and Florida State.

However the Cougars will start the season  having to replace all three starters along the defensive line (And 3 of 4 starters at LB, but that’s a story for another day).

Gone are Jan Jorgensen, Brett Denny and Russell Tialavea. Competing to fill the large holes this trio has left behind are a group talented players with some game experience, but whom have plenty to prove on the field. Here are some spring practice thoughts about how things are shaping up thus far on the BYU D-line…
