Journey to the Tourney: Real Fans or Bandwagon Bums?

There was no doubt who dominated in terms of fan support in the St. Louis regional.  Though their team was eliminated Friday night, credit goes to Northern Iowa supporters for sending throngs of people to the Edward Jones Dome to support the little underdog that could.

But as with every underdog story, the inevitable questions will arise – are these people “real” fans, or are they bandwagon jumpers who climbed aboard the Panther Express the minute the final buzzer went off in their shocking win over Kansas. 

We headed to the Dome on Friday night armed with some questions that would confirm the real fans and expose the bandwagon bums…
