After a 6 Year Drought, Duke Rebounds Their Way Back To The Final Four

Henry BellMar 28, 2010

Baylor Bears vs. Duke Blue Devils. Many are doubting Duke can win. Some disagree. Well, folks, they won; despite Baylor's athleticism and height, the Blue Devils, along with Coach K, pulled it off for his 11th Final Four appearance.

All of the puzzle pieces were there in order for Duke to succeed. Offensive rebounds? Check. Hitting the threes? Check. Strong defense? Check. Everything went well.

Here's a question for all of you: Would you rather have your team win but have a horrible game yourself, or would you rather have a great game but your team lose? Just ask Kyle Singler. His team is headed to the Final Four despite his mere 5 points.

Another man who led his team to success is Brian Zoubek. He is one of the most underrated players wearing a Blue Devil jersey. He's the guy who gets all the rebounds when the team isn't hot, and he was a vital component to this successful team.

The Blue Devils outfought the Bears with 22 offensive rebounds to 16.

The star player of the game was Nolan Smith. He had a career high of 29 points. What's more to say? This guy is a beast. He lit his team up getting the momentum boosting three late in the half. He was...the man.

Last but not least, there's Jon Scheyer. He had very few turnovers and some great threes to move his team forward.

Coach K did it again, leading his beloved Blue Devils to the Final Four. If they can keep hitting their shots, getting offensive rebounds and playing some good old defense, the title is theirs for the taking.
