2009-2010 Nets and 1972-1973 76ers
If the 2009-2010 Nets were a college team they would be a very difficult team to beat because they have quite a few players who were very good college players. Courtney Lee Terrance Williams Brook Lopez Devin harris just to name a few.

But unfortunately they are not. This team has been in contention all year to take away the record for the worst regular season in NBA history from the 1972-1973 76ers. Due to two wins this past week they wont hold the record. However, if they dont win another game they will share the record.

Mlb Offseason Free Agency and Trades

Another busy and long baseball offseason not like the NFL's but still long and many stories came out of it. The Yankees and Red Sox were busy as usual with the Yankees dealing Melky for Javier Vasquez and getting Curtis Granderson essentially for the Yankees best prospect arguably Austin Jackson. The Yankees did not resign Matsui or Damon and replaced them with Nick Johnson and Randy Wynn. Not as valueable but defitnately cheaper.

The redsox signed Marco Scuttaro and John Lackey to fix their shortstop situation that has been an issue since Garciaparra left after 2003 season. And Lackey joining the Red Sox just makes their starting staff even deeper now having Beckett, Lester, Lackey, Matsuzaka and Buchholz. They let Bay go and signed Mike Cameron to be their centerfilder and moved Ellsbury to left.

But the biggest story was the Phillies getting rid of Lee to Seattle and getting Halladay. They got a pitcher who has dominated the American League for the last 6-7 years and brought him to the National league which has a pitcher batting 9th. No one is happier than Halladay to get out of the AL east and move to the lighter hitting NL east.

2010 NBA Free Agency

If your favorite team is not The Lakers, the Cavs, the nuggets or the Magic your team is not going to win the NBA title so just accept it. Jus do what everyone including the team you root for is doing prepare for quite frankly the best NBA free agent class in history.

the class encludes Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh Amare Stoudemire and the biggest name Lebron James. Some people could care less about politics but everyone has an opinion of where they feel Lebron James will sign.

The theory for some of these teams that are suitors for these marquee free agents is that if they sign two of the big time free agents they will automatically become title contenders. Well Knicks, Bulls etc your real seaosn begins after the NBA finals is over. And Cavs and Heat if you want to compete next season sign your respective free agents

Alabama Crimson Tide

Few times does a team have a horrible end to a season after starting 11-0, bring in a freshman QB and win the national title the next season. Alabama did that and they did it the way that many people thought they had to.
To win the national title as many people predicted Alabama would had to beat Florida in the SEC championship game and then beat Texas in the title game in Pasadena.

Not many people thought they could beat Tebow's Gators and they absolutely crushed them. People also thought they would lose to texas. After all, texas was returning to the sight of their last national championship victory in 2005-2006 against USC. But they did it and they did it the old fashion way, timely passing, running the football and incredible hard nosed defense.

New Orleans Saints

We could say oh how great it is for the city of New orleans that the saints won the superbowl and we would be right. The city has gone through a lot and so they deserve a superbowl. Brees cemented his name among the NFL's elite along with Manning and Brady and the saints proved once again the amount of parody in the nfl cannot be matched by any other sport

This passed years superbowl marked the first superbowl since 2002 that neither a Manning, Brady nor Roethlisberger won.

Tebow Enough Said

This is a man who is a great person yet we all want to see him fail. What is it about Americans that makes us want to see someone lose just because it looks like their life is too good.

Tebow started the year by leading Florida in a rout of Cincy and his year continued into a living hell where all everyone does is say how he will be a horrible NFL player. The nicest thing that people say about Tebow is that he is a winner and when he was in college people resented him for it. Now people are saying that if he shows up to the NFL draft he will be embarrassed because he wont be chosen in the first round and quite possibly the second as well. All I can say is Give the guy a break.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao

This will be short and do you know why... because it did not happen. This is a fight that could have put boxing on the map. unfortunately for boxing since it did not happen, that sport continues to be irrelivant.

And instead of fighting eachother Pacquiao fought and dominated Clottey and mayweather will fight Mosley soon and most likely maintain his undefeated record. Come on guys just fight eachother for gods sake.

Epic NCAA Tournament

The Ncaa tournament has been incredible up to this point. Essentially every team that at one point was the favorite ended up losing. The best team Kansas lost to Northern Iowa, The team with 7 starters Syracuse, lost to Butler in the Sweet 16 and the most talented team kentucky, lost to West virginia in the Elite 8.

All you have seen is upset after upset after upset. Cornell, Northern Iowa and St. Mary's the cinderella's of this tournament beat teams the likes of wisconsin, Temple, Kansas and Villanova.

But the biggest cinderella Butler beat the NO. 1 and NO. 2 seeds in their region (syracuse , Kansas State).

You could pick who you think will win the National championship from the teams remaining but the truth is you will probably be wrong especially if you pick whoever is the favorite.

Winter Olympics (Hockey)

Well the United States did not win the gold medal but they got farther in the olympics than anyone else thought they would especially considering the fact that they were not even supposed to be in the Gold medal game. Canada led by Sydney Crosby and Russia led by Alexander Ovechkin were the two clear best teams in the field.

But it was a terrific run for the U.S olympians in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. They made it to overtime and won the silver. They made Americans watch Hockey at a time when they usually would not. You know they made Americans watch hockey period.

Tiger Woods

Oh! You knew this was coming. It all started on Thanksgiving 2009 and we've been on the edge of our seats ever since. This is the United States version of the John Terry scandal in England,( John Terry plays for English Premier League Team Chelsea in England). Terry slept with a teamates wife and was threatened with being kicked off England's world cup team.

Everyone had an opinion, a joke a statement and even a text that dealt with Tiger's infedelitie's. We hung on all the man's words especially when he annonced that he was going to return to golf at the Masters.

If tiger wins the Masters it will be his best Major victory since he won the 2006 British Open after his father passed away. After the Masters the next two majors the U.S and British Opens are at two of his favorite courses, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. Tiger did lose a lot of sponsors and even worldwide respect but if he wins like he can, he will get all that back. We all cant wait until we see him play golf for the first time this year at the Masters.
