Will Power, Powers To Pole In St Pete

Will Power has dominated the weekend so far in St Petersburg, Florida for this weekends Honda Grand Prix Of St Petersburg on Sunday. Will Power set a fast lap 1:01.6026 @ 105.190 mph to take the pole. Power was fastest in both practice sessions Friday and also won the first race of the season a few weeks ago in Brazil. Tony Kanaan for Andretti Autosport will start second. Scott Dixon, Justin Wilson and the three time Indianapolis 500 Champion Helio Castroneves will start in fifth. Ryan Briscoe was the winner of this race a year ago and that started a great year and run at the Championship. Will Power is very talented and had a part time ride with Penske Racing last year until a terrible crash in which he was injured at Sonoma. Power has always run very well on road and street circuits and if he can put that together on the ovals as well, we might just have a early title contender to look at. Graham Rahal is back he qualified 16th for Dollar General and Sarah Fisher Racing. Danica Patrick qualified 21st she is one of three women in the race this weekend. Simona De Silvestro qualified 14th and Milka Duno in 24th. Dario Franchitti the pole winner at Sao Paulo will start 13th and Ryan Briscoe who had a good run going till a accident at Brazil starts 19th.
