My Picks For This Week's NCAA Games: CORRECTIONS AND REFLECTIONS

5 BUTLER VS 1 SYRACUSE

My Pick: Syracuse, but a very very close game!

My Score: Syracuse by 2

Reasons: Even though I think Butler COULD pull off an upset, I think Syracuse's Rautins and Wes Johnson will be too much for Butler.

OUTCOME: BUTLER!!!

11 WASHINGTON VS 2 WEST VIRGINIA

My Pick: I would LOVE to have Washington win but if I am being realistic I am going to say West Virginia

My Score: West Virginia by 5

Reasons: Similar to the Butler-Syracuse game I think Washington is capable except West Virginia's Butler might be too much.

OUTCOME: WV

6 XAVIER VS 2 KANSAS STATE

My Pick: Xavier pulls off a close upset.

My Score: Xavier by 3

Reasons: I really just think Xavier is capable.

OUTCOME: KSTATE in 2 OTS

12 CORNELL VS 1 KENTUCKY

My Pick: LOTS OF TALK ABOUT THIS GAME! I think Cornell is going to pull it off. 

My Score: Cornell by 2 or 3

Reasons: I am definitely rooting for Cornell. However I also feel that Cornell is an amazing basketball team. They have AMAZING 3 point shooting with Ryan Whitman.

OUTCOME: Kentucky by 17. I was being optimistic. 

6 TENNESSEE VS 2 OHIO STATE

My Pick: Ohio State

My Score: Ohio State by 5

Reasons: Evan Turner and Lauderdale. Enough said?

OUTCOME: I am not very good at this obviously. Tenn by 3. 

10 ST. MARY'S VS 3 BAYLOR

My Pick: This is quite a matchup. I think Baylor could win but so could St. Mary's. I will say Baylor

My Score: Baylor by 4

Reasons: To be honest, I don't know.

OUTCOME: Not even close! 72-49 Baylor. WOW. 

1 DUKE VS 4 PURDUE

My Pick: Of course, I am a dukie so I will say DUKE!!!

My Score: Close at beginning but Duke pulls it out by 7 at the end.

Reasons: The Big Three. Even if Scheyer isnt on again Brian Zoubek, Nolan Smith, Lance Thomas, and Kyle Singler can lead Duke to the Elite Eight.

OUTCOME: Both teams struggled offensively in the first half but Duke blew up in the 2nd to win by 13. I WAS CORRECT!

9 NORTHERN IOWA VS 5 MICHIGAN STATE

My Pick: Northern Iowa

My Score: Northern Iowa by 5

Reasons: Ali Farokhmanesh is amazing. UNI beat Kansas as we all know and I think will beat Mich State

 OUTCOME: Michigan State by 7. Wow! I was very wrong. However, it wasn't really a seven point win. Mich State just emerged at the end.
