As reported on 24wrestling: This week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 3.24 (3.2) cable rating, down from last week’s 3.7 rating. WWE was down over 1 million viewers, down 20%, from last week. This is bad news for WWE considering this was their go-home show before WrestleMania 26 on Sunday.
This week’s edition of TNA Impact scored a 0.86 rating, slightly up from last week’s 0.84 rating. The show did 1.2 million viewers, an improvement over last week’s 1.1 million viewers. In the males 18-34 demographic, the show was up to a 0.86 rating, up from last week’s 0.63 in the demographic.
My Thoughts:
This was a pretty low week for wrestling. Both shows drop ratings and TNA still could not do a 1.0 again. True, the reason is TNA has not done better, because the show is still a mess. It is so weird, every time I see Raw or SD, I feel like I’m watching an actual wrestling show, even if it’s stale, it still feels like a wresting show. When I am watching TNA however, I feel like I’m watching an asylum, being run by the inmates. It never feels quite organized. It’s like everything they do is, spur of the moment, stupid bookings, retarded storylines (The Monster of the Ring? WTF) lacking originality, with only their top stars and worst of all the death of the once great X-Division.
I maybe outspoken here. I love TNA as much as I do the WWE, but if TNA continues this way, They won’t last 4 more months.
Speaking of Raw, it was okay, The segment with Brett was a bit boring, to be honest. I thank God,that it be over soon, Shawn gave a great promo, like always, I really love the man. Randy & Triple HHH kept the night alive and Sheamus was mediocre, like always. The guest host I believe was the worse ever, for obvious reasons. The Diva match lasted about a minute, no surprise there (wow it sad how far the woman division has fallen), Kofi was the last person to enter the M.I.T.B. match after a Cena-ish match against Vladimir Kozlov and to end the show we had John the “SuperRobot” Cena face to face with Batista. BTW did anyone see the video promos about them? They only showed them about ,Oh idk 115 times in 2 hours! But seriously, we don’t have the memory of a goldfish WWE! We know all about what’s been happening for the past 2 weeks! Anyways their encounter was Great! Batista played his bad guy role, to a whole new level, in his career. I don't understand why he couldn’t be this way before, but at least, we got a good performance from him finally, before he leaves (supposedly he’s leaving in the summer). Aside from John Vintage! Cena’s Unemotionally dry promos, it was a pretty good segment thanks to Batista and him alone. I really do hope he wins but I know that won’t happen…..
Other notes in my report:
Quarter hour numbers for last week’s Raw with Stone Cold guest hosting were 3.9, 3.73, 3.89, 3.39, 3.54, 3.58, 3.57 and 3.69. The overrun with the Steve Austin moderated Bret Hart and Vince McMahon contract signing garnered a show high 4.29.
What do you think, readers?
Did you watch this week?
OR
