Away Fan Watch This Week
Liverpool at Manchester United 21/3/2010 My opinions without my red tinted specs on... Full allocation by the looks of things, as expected (3000-3500). Not particularly loud, average at best. Not persistent, heard them occasionally. Stood the entire match. Nothing funny, new or witty. Fields of Athenery (or whatever its called) is probably the best one they have in my opinion. No bother from what I saw. 4/10 I'm not saying Liverpool fans can't generate a good atmosphere, had the game gone differently my above observations may have been different of course. But generally as an away following the numbers have always been there however for noise and time spent singing I've always found Liverpool fans to be worse than I expected

Swansea at Blackpool 1. 300ish. (400 mile round trip, mid week, not too bad.) 2. No, sat three blocks away from them, not much to sing about really. 3. No 4. Back 5 or 6 rows stood, rest sat down. 5. No 6. None whatsoever, miles better fans than the other lot from Wales, who have a MASSIVE chip on their shoulder. 7. No real chanting, but some nice flag waving of the portugese flag. 8. A poor 4.5 erm
Plymouth at Ispwich There were about 100 fans some of them lived localy that added to the travelers from West Country. A friendly bunch of fans and had a good banter with them. Not confident they were going to win but went home happy. Sound wise they did make more noise than the Town fans but that's kinda not hard as Ipswich is a very quiet stadiom at the moment with only a couple of small pockets of fans singing :o( Good luck with the rest of the season. I hope the prodical Ipswich son Paul Matriner can keep you up and we can see you back here next season.
Sunderland at Aston Villa How many fans did the away team take? -1,000 Where they loud? - no Persistent? - no Stand or Sit? - sit Anything funny and Memorable?? -no Any bother? - no Favourite chant of the day (visiting side) - Staying up staying up staying uppppp. Rating - 5\10 cant blame them quite a way to come for a midweek game.
Birmingham at Blackburn At the Brum game last night,Brum brought very few tbh and were i was sat i only heard them when they scored, after saying that they are in the away end which is the Darwen end of the groung, this end is shared with some of our fans and tbh this particular group make at times more noise than the Blackburn end so they would easily drown a few away fans out, they all sat excepting when they scored and then they just stood up and shouted, hey we have scored, hooray, nothing funny or memorable, nope, they just didn't chant full stop. rating 5
Fulham at Tottenham Around 1500 - 2,000. Quite loud especialy when they scored. Pretty persistant. Mostly stood Nothing funny or memorable. No bother at all. My favourite London Club! Favourite chant. Hengerland to the tune of En-Ger-Land. 7/10
