The Riddler Reports On…Goldberg’s Possible Return to the WWE

As reported on PWInsider.com: Former WCW and WWE World champion Bill Goldberg announced via his twitter account that he in the midst of discussions with World Wrestling Entertainment.

“YES.. I am in negotiations with the WWE Looks like ‘ole Hogan and TNA missed the boat. Shame for the fans they didn’t even try. Anyone got any issues on the TNA side I suggest you bring it up with them. Truth is I never thought I’d even consider it……..then came my son. No one said I’d wrestle but the door is open again”

Goldberg has publicly ruled out returning to the ring numerous times in recent years, so it’s possible he is negotiating for a new professional relationship that wouldn’t include a wrestling role. Goldberg last wrestled for WWE at Wrestlemania XX in 2004.

My thoughts:

It been 6 year since we’ve seen Bill Goldberg in a wrestling ring, I don’t know about you readers, but I kind of miss the boche machine. He was a Great Superstar back in WCW and his short time in WWE was… Ok I guess. He had a long feud with Triple HHH and his last match being in Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar, in the worse match in Mania history. But even with all his faults he still has a big fan base and by WWE getting Goldberg we could see some viewers return and maybe even steal some more from TNA. Speaking of TNA, what did Goldberg mean when he said TNA missed the boat, did Hogan’s ego get in the way? Or did he just ask for too much money?. Who knows for sure? But this is a Huge Loss for TNA. They need the Star Power and this could be one of the nails in TNA coffin.
