Florida Gators, Tim Tebow Told to Shut The F@#$ UP

NBC – As we’ve mentioned once or twice, quarterback Tim Tebow’s habit of openly expressing his religious beliefs could potentially rub folks the wrong way, especially in a locker room of grown men who choose to keep their beliefs to themselves, who don’t share his beliefs at all, and/or who only want to hear “God bless” after they have sneezed. We’re told that Tebow already has gotten a taste of the resistance he might face at the next level. At the Scouting Combine, the Wonderlic exam is administered to players in groups. The 12-minute test is preceded by some brief instructions and comments from the person administering the test. Per a league source, after the person administering the test to Tebow’s group had finished, Tebow made a request that the players bow their heads in prayer before taking the 50-question exam. Said one of the other players in response: “Shut the f–k up.” Others players in the room then laughed.

For someone who is not a Gator fan, I am a big Tebow fan and am hoping he does well. I support the fact that he is religious and wears that on his sleeve. I am not against him always thanking god because he genuinely comes off like a kid who lives by what he says (as far as we know). He does do many good things off the field and is the type of athlete we need more of in terms of being a role model for kids.
With that being said, he needs to know there is a time and a place for these things. The eye black, the post game comments, that’s all good. However in a room of grown men who may or may not agree with your beliefs, that’s a bit much. Not everyone is a Christian and I think he is being a big ignorant/naïve is he thinks what he is doing is the “right thing”. He is going to need to ease up on this kind of stuff if and when he gets to play big boy football where he is dealing with men twice his age at times.

Tim - Keep up the hard work, the off the field charity work but lighten up on the spreading of the gospel to everyone along your path!


With that said, sources have confirmed that Lucy Pinder is not Tebow’s girlfriend as we all thought for a while, but she always comes up when you Google Tim Tebow so it’s a layup to post these pictures…again.
