One thing that is always associated with Arsenal and Wenger is his amount of talented youngsters. Arsenal boast strong youth teams and an impressive array of scouts who are able to track down the best teenagers from all over the world.
But this season it seems Wenger has neglected his batch of young'uns. Arsenal have had a huge amount of injuries, but the Frenchman is reluctant to blood any of the youths to the first team and allow them to gain vital experience.
The likes of Francis Coquelin, Craig Eastmond, Nacer Barazite, Fran Merida, and Carlos Vela all have been subject to neglect. Although they are inexperienced, they all boast talent.
If not strutting around in the reserves, the youngsters are usually thrown out to another club in the Championship or League One. This does enable them to gain experience, but some loan spells turn out to be a waste of time.
So is Arshavin correct? Do Arsenal need more players? Or does Wenger just need to trust his youngsters a little more?
True, Wenger could use one or two more signings, but ignoring his youngsters won't help.
