Thiago Alves is eager for revenge when he steps into the Octagon to face Jon Fitch at UFC 111. The Brazilian fell victim to a TKO defeat when the two met in 2006, but "Pitbull" believes things could turn out a little differently for Fitch this time around.

"I want that fight," said Alves, "I've been asking for that fight for a long long time. Now I finally have the chance to get it and I'm not going to waste it this time. He's gonna pay."

Alves, 22-6, dropped a unanimous decision to welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre when he last fought at UFC 100. GSP also defeated Fitch in similar fashion at UFC 87. Since that loss Fitch has returned to type, grinding out three unanimous decision victories by out-wrestling, Akhiro Gono, Paulo Thiago and Mike Pierce respectively.

It's a style which Alves believes could play into his seriously heavy hands.

"He's hungry and been fighting back-to-back since his fight with St. Pierre," said Alves. "I've been counting on that he's going to try and take me down every time. Every time he misses a takedown, he's going to pay for it.

"I'm going to make him pay for everything."

The American Top Team member believes a win over Fitch would put him right back in the mix for a rematch with St. Pierre and he is ready to do what is necessary to make that fight happen.

"He's gonna bring everything he's got," said Alves. "It doesn't matter what he says or what he thinks, it's my fight. He's gonna dance my dance. I'm going to knock Fitch out and make a statement."
