Expect Tiger Woods to Struggle in the Masters
Interview shows that Tiger will struggle at the Masters
Everyone in the world is waiting for the Masters and waiting to see how Tiger will play with all that he and his family have been through. The scandal and the scrutiny have been tough for Tiger and his family, but most of the so called experts will say that when Tiger plays golf again he will be better than ever. They claim that he will use this adversity to play better golf and destroy the competition.
Am I missing something? Tiger will struggle in Augusta
I watched the recent interview with ESPN and Tiger looked anything but calm and calculated. I understand that the Tiger that was in that interview is a much different Tiger on the course but he will have to deal with things that he is not accustomed to dealing with. Tiger admitted that he was “nervous” about the fans reaction to him when he steps on the golf course. I am sure that Augusta will make sure that TMZ and company are kept off the course but there could be a few hecklers and that is something that he is not used to. The greatest golfer in the world will struggle and I expect him to struggle mightily for many reasons.
The fans are just the tip of the ice berg. He is still wrestling with demons on so many levels. He is still talking about his treatment and the fact that he will go back, he still talks about getting “brutal” treatment from his wife and mother. He is still dealing with recent news of a mistress coming out with text messages from the golfer and who knows what news will break right before the Masters. While some would debate on whether or not he deserves the personal hell he is going through, the one thing that is not debatable is that he will have a lot on his mind.
Tiger’s answer to plenty of personal questions was “that is a private matter” and although that is vague it still says a lot. Tom Rinaldi’s interview showed a bruised and beaten man that is still trying to change himself as a person, father, and a golfer. Coming back to golf is a just another step in getting back to the spotlight and getting back to golf, but he is not ready to compete and he most certainly will not win the Masters.
