2010 NCAA Predictions: After all the Upsets, What Will Happen Next?

Henry BellMar 21, 2010

This is one of those tournaments where most of our predictions have plumetted. Our brackets, busted.

But, nonetheless I will still continue to try to give you all the most accurate predictions possible.

First off, I think the Northern Iowa Panthers deserve some recognition. They have fought their way through this tournament fending off the No. 1 seed, Kansas. That is why I chose the Panthers to head to the championship game facing off against the powerhouse, Kentucky. But, unfortunately I doubt that they will be able to take on the ferocious Wildcats lacking experience on such a big stage.

For the Final Four, I chose Duke, Syracuse, Kentucky, and UNI.

Duke, simply because they are fundamentally solid along with the fact that they are in the easiest conference in the nation.

Syracuse. Why? They are dominant down low and they can shoot from their perimeter with their star Andy Rautins. I think they're going to go very far but they will lose to the Panthers in the Final Four. I can assure you that it will be down to the wire.

UNI. Have you seen the game against Kansas? If not, watch it. If so, now you know why I chose them. Ali Farokhmanesh is ridiculous. He cannot be stopped. It will be interesting to see if he can remain consistent in the following rounds.

And to win it all, Kentucky. Led by their senior John Wall, they appear unstoppable which is why I chose them to win it all.

I hope my predictions are accurate, but as we've seen, anything can happen in this tournament.
