UFC 111: “KO, TKO, or Possibly Take Jake Ellenberger's Arm Home with Me”
UFC welterweight Ben Saunders has just put his body through the most rigorous training camp of his young career, and the American Top Team-trained fighter couldnโt be any more pleased.
Saunders will meet the gritty Jake Ellenberger at โUFC 111 : St-Pierre vs. Hardyโ on March 27, the organizationโs biggest fight card of 2010.
The 26-year-old owns an impressive 8-1-2 professional record and has posted devastating finishes in seven of those victories.ย โKilla Bโ was last seen unleashing a vicious barrage of knees on Marcus Davis at UFC 106 this past November, putting the former boxer to sleep in the 1stRound of their tango.
The former โThe Ultimate Fighter 6โณ contestant sat down with 5thRound.com this week for an exclusive interview to discuss the impact martial arts legend Bruce Lee has had in his life, Saundersโ impending showdown with Ellenberger and a UFC 111 prediction you have to hear.
Below are just a few of the MMA funnymanโs comments on 5thRoundRadio:
"His unpredictable style, courtesy of Mr. Leeโs Jeet Kune Do philosophy:
โIโm very unorthodox.ย I donโt think Iโve fought the same in any fight Iโve ever had. Iโve created my style to be able to win no matter where the fight is held.โ
Big Ben gives props to Ellenbergerโs game, however itโs not his time just yet:
โFor those that donโt know who [Jake Ellenberger] is, he is probably going to make a splash in this sport or make a name for himself. Unfortunately I donโt believe thatโs going to be on March 27.โ
Saunders came through with the quote of the week when asked what he thought was going to take place inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey:
โYou will see me either knockout, TKO or possibly take Jake Ellenbergerโs arm home with me.โ
