Rick Wilson Wins Legends Race @ Bristol, Larry Pearson Injured

Rick Wilson won the Scotts Saturday Night Showdown at Bristol Motor Speedway in a 35 lap chairty race for the legends of Nascar. Rick Wilson and Phil Parsons battled for the win in the closing laps after the race resumed from a red flag that seen a very scary crash with Larry Pearson and Charlie Glotzbach in turn 2 when Pearson crashed and came down the track he was t-boned by Glotzbach right into the drivers door. Pearson and Glotzbach were both reported to be knocked unconscious and Pearson had to be cut out of his car and transported to a local medical center in Tenneessee. Reports indicate that he suffered ankle,hand and pelvis injuries and was suppose to undergo surgery Saturday night. Glotzbach was also transported to the hospital to be checked out as well. This is a great event that started last year and sometimes we seem to forget how dangerous auto racing can be, but i think they should continue this event and honor our sports legeneds every year or if they could i would love to see a small series of races throughout the season at various nascar events and run for a title and let the money go to differ'ent charitys. Hopefully Pearson will recover well and please everyone send thoughts and prayers to him and his family as he recovers.
