UFC Live: Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones Weigh-In Results

Tomorrow night the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado is going to explode as the UFC makes their debut on Versus with an action-packed free card.

The main event of the evening features a light-heavyweight clash between fast rising sensation, Jon “Bones” Jones and Brandon “The Truth” Vera.

Jones has yet to face a fighter of Vera’s caliber, so this bout will go a long way towards telling us just how far along Jones is in his development.

For Vera, this matchup could very well define his UFC career. Once a hot prospect in the heavyweight division, Vera has yet to find his stride as a light-heavyweight, and is in need of an impressive win to remain relevant in the ever evolving MMA landscape.

Not to be outdone, the co-main event of the evening features two of the finest Brazilian heavyweights in the world, as the heavy handed Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos takes on submission ace and former UFC title challenger Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga.

A win for Dos Santos puts him right in the thick of the UFC heavyweight title hunt, while a win over the young Black House prospect would get Gonzaga’s career back on track.

The weigh-ins are now officially in the books, and with none of the competitors missing weight, UFC Live is off to a great start.
