Bendtner : Most Effective Goalscorer On Champions League

Earlier, I surf the web and I actually stumbled upon some interesting facts.

After becoming the first Arsenal player to score European hat-trick on Emirates, Nicklas Bendtner is now currently named as the most effective striker on Champions League competition.

After the last game against Porto, Bendtner has been recorded to collect 4 goals within his 270 minutes of playing. It means that in average he scores a goal every 67.5 minutes.

What makes it more interesting is that this number is a few seconds better than the Champions League top scorer, the infamous Cristiano Ronaldo who so far has scored 7 goals within 475 minutes time. (In average, he scores each 67.9 minutes)

So it is rational to think if Nicklas Bendtner is able to play more frequent and cover more minutes, he will be the top scorer, replacing CR9, in no time.

Another interesting yet staggering fact. According to Bettorlogic Player Pro, over the last 50 games The Gunners have a win percentage of 52 per cent without Nicklas. With him in the side, the win-rate fly up to 76 per cent.

It is quite shocking because actually Nicklas had just returned from injury that kept him from playing for 3 months. And he didn't do really well on his first matches after came back. Even gained a lot of critiques especially after he missed series of (some say) easy chances when Arsenal played against Burnley.

But now thankfully he came up with proof of quality that yes, many have doubted before, he has. Hopefully with his performance which keeps rising and rising, he can lead The Gunners pass through their next opponent in Champions League quarter-final, Barcelona.
