Arsenal's Best Shot Is For The Premier League..but do they have the nerves ?
With the Champions league draw concluded recently , Arsenal's hopes for European Supremacy looks severely dented. Arsenal would have seriously hoped that they avoid Barca , the way they got away from Chelsea, even without playing them. However, that was not to be, and now they are in a position where it would take some out of the skin performance from them to see them come out winners from this draw.
All is not done as yet though. Even if Arsenal hit the dead end after their matches against Barca, they still have a chance to pull out a major silverware this season. Being only two points off the leaders presently. Yes, Chelsea have a match in hand and Manchester United look pretty stong, but both of them have some seriously tough encounters coming up along with a match where they face each other. If the later turns out to be a stalemate and should Arsenal see through their matches (especially against City and Spurs, the two tough matches they have left), the Gunners can throw some serious challenge to the two front-runners.

Moreover, there are other factors, Arsenal have had their share of injuries and their Classy Captain Fabregas look set to be back again from West Ham match onwards, but still all Arsenal must take care of is that their main players are not struck by injuries again. That department being taken care of, Arsenal would have their full team playing. We have seen throughout the season , the demolition that the team can cause with the attractive football they play especially against weaker oppositions.
Much rests also on the approach that Wenger takes too combat this pressure of expectations though I would prefer they don't curb their attacking play being overaud by the occassions up front. In recent times, Arsenal's problem has apparently been their nerves to compete in Big matches. However, taking one match at a time, Arsenal look to threat the Premier League seriously this time albeit with a tint of luck going their way.
In this context, I would also like to point out that a victory against Barca will really give them more highs than lows, and also make them serious threat for European silverware too..however, with the displays that they have put against BIG premier league teams this season, like Chelsea and Manchester United makes me a little critical of the view that they will be able to see off the Mighty Barcelona.
Realistically speaking , with a few unpredicatable results (which has not been uncommon this premier league season) going their way and harnessing the talent of the squad in a masterful way that Wenger is capable of, Arsenal fans should really look at the English Premier League Title as a more attainable target.
